Unfortunately, we received news this week that the planned iXS Downhill Cup in Ilmenau cannot take place on the scheduled date. The race has to be postponed by one week. As the VPACE Kids Cup is affiliated with this race, the penultimate round of the series also has to be postponed. The reason for this is a local clash between two major events that cannot be held at the same time.
Every year, a very large festival takes place on the local mountain opposite, which can be reached via the same country road. This festival has been moved forward by one week from its traditional date, so that it now coincides with the originally planned race date. Unfortunately, for infrastructural reasons (e.g. road closures), it is not possible to hold both events at the same time.

Fortunately, we were able to resolve both postponements before the start of series registration on Sunday, 1 February 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience caused; we would also have preferred to stick to our original race calendar.
